These days I have found myself in the unusual role of advertising consultant.

The new 2007 campaign for EA Video Games (Electronic Arts) is indeed inspired by the world of tattoos.
My role consisted of providing materials and explaining the dynamics of tattooing: how to hold your hands, what happens during a session, how to grip the machine, and other details.

However, for the purpose of the campaign, some of my suggestions were not accepted: among these, the most obvious ones were no ink stains on the model’s skin (to keep the image from looking too “raw”) and no protective bags for the machine and clip cord (so as not to hide the mechanics). Finally, even the hand positioning was changed because it would have hidden the logo.

In short, very little was listened to! 😀 It was still a fun and interesting experience to move between models, photo sets, and various experts, or non-experts, of the industry :D.
