One of my Christmas presents will be this award for Best Portrait Artist of 2016 from TrueArtists.com (unfortunately no more online), one of the portals that has become one of the most prestigious in the tattoo industry in just a few years.
An unexpected and surprising award considering that tattooing portraits doesn’t excite me as much as other styles 😀
In these 2016 awards, I am also the runner-up in the Overall Artist category (an artist capable of doing everything).
Even though there are no plaques or cash prizes, these are still recognitions that are very pleasing. From my small village in Bergamo, they make me feel international even though it’s been a year since I’ve left the country for one of my usual guest spots abroad. 🙂
