To be honest, I don’t exactly recall the meaning of this tattoo.
It probably had something to do with the strength to go on and enjoy oneself in spite of the difficulties.
Hence the title, taken from a famous book.
I really enjoyed drawing this tattoo and the flames below the Pierrot setting fire to the card, from which also an arm and the umbrella he’s holding protrude, create multiple levels of observation.
Although it’s a small/medium sized tattoo, I’m very proud of what I’ve managed to accomplish in such a small space.
Maybe it’s because it reminds of comic books 😀
