Anyone who has served in the military, or known someone who has, has probably noticed how some people form a particular bond with that period, to the point of tattooing the symbol of their corps or battalion on their skin. An old tradition that dates back to times when tattooing wasn’t fashionable and was often done in a rudimentary way, with sewing needles and ink.
This client wanted exactly that: the symbol of the Folgore, if I’m not mistaken the parachute corps, a skull wearing a beret. During our conversation I suggested a more personal interpretation rather than a flat, single-colour logo. From that discussion came this very distinctive tattoo: a half-deformed skull face with one living eye, a coloured beret and small graphic elements along the lower section that give the piece its dynamic quality.
