Japanese iconography is full of inspiration and cartoons/anime are certainly one of them.
This interpretation of the great Captain Harlock and equally great UFO Robot Grendizer, at least for the children of my generation, turned out to be less fun than expected. Unfortunately this particular client had an almost ridiculous pain tolerance, so the work was made up of continuous interruptions and required a number of sessions so ridiculous that it’s better not to mention. Carrying it out was hard work, but nevertheless a nice tattoo 😉
