Between 1999 and 2003 my main occupation was that of web designer, in particular I was involved with animated intros and animated Flash websites, which were very popular at the time. Therefore, between 2000 and 2001, I decided to revamp my own website, conveying information in a cryptic yet hypnotic way by using animations that played in an infinite loop (at least until the user decided to click on the menu) in each area of the website rather than with common everyday web pages. Today I’ve decided to combine those loops into a single video. Unfortunately some interactive animations cannot be played on video and in the video sequence the hypnotic effect of repetition is kind of lost, but I still find it fascinating. But you know, every child is beautiful in the eyes of their own father 😀
