The person who asked for this design was inspired by another work of mine: … And Justice for All. But, even when it comes to my designs, copying is definitely not my philosophy, unless it is impossible to avoid it (such as the reproduction of Tutankhamon or the like).
So he provided me with several full-length images of statues, but reproducing a simple statue on the arm without a background, as well as not making much sense wouldn’t have been nice to look at. So I proposed this closeup version. The scale is small and only the tip of the sword is visible but in my opinion it is way more appealing than the full-length figure and I’m sure it will stand the test of time.
The tattoo was completed in two sessions.
