During lockdown I promised myself to draw every day and work on personal projects, among various ideas there were also some scattered sketches that I decided to evolve.
A few years ago I doodled a car heading for a tunnel. The focus was more on the surroundings than on the car, but since it’s a car we’re talking about why not make it a nice car?
I’ve been passionate about cars since I was a kid and the Lancia Stratos rally was one of the ones that fascinated me most, a car that won the World Constructors’ Championship in 1974, 1975, 1976 and the World Drivers’ Championship in 1977. Therefore, also driven by the patriotism of the lockdown, I chose the one with the Alitalia livery.
