The meanings behind this piece are obscure to me. Apart from the clear meaning of the phoenix and some other requests, the client preferred not to share other symbols he wanted to include in the piece.
I generally prefer my clients to tell me about the meanings they want to include because I’m sure that, thanks to the experience and knowledge developed in over 22 years of tattooing, not counting those I spent working as an illustrator and cartoonist, I could help them find the best way to represent what they want. But I don’t want to insist.
