Skulls, ace of spades, roses and clocks are recurring themes, time that passes, passion and a memento mori. This tattoo, only partially shown because it’s still in the works, also had to represent the passion for heavy metal and in particular for bands such as Motörhead and Iron Maiden. The reference to Motörhead is pretty simple, the ace of spades is a symbol that all fans or non-fans of the band immediately recognize. As for Iron Maiden, the reference is a little more subtle. The cracked cranium with a metal plaque and two screws is a reference that only devoted fans of the band can probably link to the cover of the 1983 album Piece of Mind. This sleeve will be filled up so more pictures will be available in the future 😉
