This Croatian guy decided to get his full sleeve in the shortest amount of time possible and for this reason he chose to work on it in two series of 4 consecutive sittings.
Initially I disagreed with this choice, because even working on different areas of the arm it’s inevitable to touch previously tattooed areas that are already healing, and because being his first tattoo he didn’t have a clue about what he would have to go through and I wasn’t sure if he would be able to undergo all those sittings in a row.
But considering his determination and other personal issues that pushed him towards this choice I decided to do it.
So after a few emails in which we discussed the theme or the tattoo and when the design was approved we booked the dates to start this work.
In this first series of sittings my goal was to get most of the work done, to then work on details, enhance contrasts etc. during the next series.
During the first two days I reached my goal on the forearm but on the third day he preferred (smartly) to get a day off.
On the fourth day, to alleviate the pain and the swelling I decided to work on the shoulder.
One month later, thanks to his persistency and determination that many people don’t have even for short sittings, he was ready for the send round.
On the first day I dedicated myself to the ship, to the wave from which Poseidon emerges and to Poseidon himself. This area would have required some extra work but working on it longer or postponing part of the work to the following day would have damaged the skin and put at risk the work done the day before, besides making it more painful.
For this reason we have taken into account that some touch-ups will be needed once the tattoo is healed.
The second day was more relaxing: I did the sea serpent and after lunch I dedicated a couple of hours to finishing off the upper arm done about one month before.
A month after the second round I did a few touch-ups and took some pictures.
In three months this guy got a tattoo that usually, with a good determination, could require almost one year.
I’m really proud to have amazing clients.
